Fue conceptualizada por la firma Montilla, Latimer, Gutiérrez & Gutiérrez y construida por Continental Construction Corporation en 1988. Plaza del Mar's facade reflects the architectural care taken in its conceptualization. Inspired by Neo Classic and Art Deco influences, the building harmonizes both styles into a distinctive, elegant presence on the Isla Verde shoreline. It was conceptualized by the firm Montilla, Latimer, Gutiérrez & Gutiérrez and built by Continental Construction Corporation in 1988.

Puerto Rico atraviesa una severa sequía que ha provocado interrupciones en el servicio de agua potable en varios municipios, incluyendo el área de Isla Verde. Ante esta situación, se encuentra vigente un plan de racionamiento que, según las agencias gubernamentales, puede extenderse por periodos de entre 48 y 72 horas. Bajo el esquema actualmente establecido, el condominio recibe agua del sistema de Acueductos durante aproximadamente 48 horas y posteriormente permanece 48 horas sin recibir servicio. Durante los periodos en que no se recibe agua directamente de Acueductos, el suministro se administra mediante la cisterna del condominio, racionando su contenido para evitar que se agote y procurando mantener algún nivel de servicio hacia los apartamentos todos los días, en determinados momentos. En estas circunstancias, la cooperación de todos los residentes es fundamental. Es indispensable utilizar el agua de manera responsable y conservar los abastos disponibles, de forma que podamos prolongar las reservas de la cisterna y mantener el servicio durante el mayor tiempo posible mientras continúe esta emergencia. Puerto Rico is experiencing a severe drought that has caused interruptions in water service in several municipalities, including the Isla Verde area. In response to this situation, a water rationing plan is currently in effect which, according to government agencies, may extend for periods of between 48 and 72 hours. Under the current schedule, the condominium receives water from the Aqueduct system for approximately 48 hours and subsequently goes 48 hours without water service. During periods when water is not being received directly from the Aqueduct system, the supply is managed through the condominium's cistern, rationing its contents to prevent it from being depleted and attempting to maintain some level of service to the apartments every day, at designated times. Under these circumstances, the cooperation of all residents is essential. It is imperative that water be used responsibly and that available supplies be conserved so that we can extend the cistern's reserves and maintain service for as long as possible while this emergency continues.

On August 21, 2008 the Council of Owners approved at an assembly meeting the updated regulations manual that governs coexistence and processes in our building. Each apartment owner received a printed copy, which must be transferred in the event of a sale, transfer, or property exchange. Additional printed copies may be purchased in the Administration Office for $20.00, or downloaded free of charge below.
